Below are the current volunteer opportunities at The Arc of King County:
Board Trustee
The Arc is recruiting new Board members with the intention of diversifying its membership. We are encouraging individuals with talents to share in business, marketing, fundraising, education, and corporate leadership who are committed to The Arc of King County's mission. Events & Marketing Intern
Do you have events experience or want to gain more? The Development Department is looking for an events intern for our 2012 Legacy Luncheon! The intern will provide support in the planning and implementation of special events, including event collateral creation, procuring donations and event publicity. Volunteer Coordinator (Volunteer Position)
- Part time – up to 8 hours a week
- Develop, promote and address a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization in consultation with Agency Directors.
- Provide or coordinate training, consistent with volunteer responsibilities
- Create opportunities for recognition of volunteer accomplishments
Grant Data Input Project
- Volunteer will enter information about grants we have received over the last 2 years into an Excel spreadsheet.
- Attention to detail a must.
- Very flexible hours
Outreach & Advocacy
- Note taking during meeting
- Organizing power points for presentations
- Support to organize office space and notebooks
FS360 - Child Support for Family Gatherings
- Occur mostly during the weekends in Seattle or South King County (Renton, SeaTac, etc)
- Lasts 3 hours at most
- There are always adults around to help supervise the kids
- It is a time where kids make friends, play, and get to have fun, and where volunteers make a big difference!
FS360 Latin Team – Files & Resource Organization
- A person who likes to organizing files and wants to join us in the office of The Arc.
- Total of 8 hours in three or four different occasions.
- We have our informational resources in four different cabinets and we want to have them in one place for the team for the time to find more easily. We would like to share updated resources with our families!
FS360 Latin Team – Events Assistance
- A person that speaks Spanish and is willing to contact all parents to confirm their attendance to gatherings, events and workshops
- Mailing, filing and organizing the resources for an event
- 3 hours weekly would be great.
FS360 and P2P Team – Events Assistance
- A person to support organizing special events
- Responsibilities may include copying, mailing, helping during the event with games and entertainment, setting tables, clean up, etc.
- Hours depend on responsibility and event. Any help is always welcomed at events!
