For
anyone caring for a person 60 years or older, or any person 60 years or
older caring for a child under 19 years old. Caregiver Advocates can
help caregivers identify community resources, select the best options
and assist in securing needed services. They will make referrals to the
appropriate agency or contact the agency on the person's behalf;
arrange home visits if the person has intensive needs, follow-up, and
provide limited supplemental services for caregivers in financial
need. Senior Services Caregiver Outreach and Support Program is also
available to do community outreach, education and coordination with
service providers. Advocates are happy to schedule workplace or
community presentations on caregiver resources, long-distance
caregiving, paying for care, legal issues for caregivers, and other
caregiving concerns.
