The
focus of Community & Employment Services is to find competitive
employment based upon a person’s unique strengths and preferences. It
is designed to provide individuals with personalized attention in
accessing community support and utilizes the individuals themselves,
their families and support networks to gain the information necessary
to find the best community job placement. Services provided may include
a program designed around individual’s personal choice and preferences;
a variety of strategies including job sampling, volunteering,
individual instruction and career counseling be used to gain
employment; job coaching, job retention, and follow along services to
support successful, long-term employment; support services for those of
retirement age. Programs available include: Community Access /
Retirement Services, Pathways to Individual Employment and Supported
Employment.
