The Arc of King County provides a minimum of 10 educational workshops for
families of children or adults with developmental disabilities who live within King
County. Topics are selected on the basis of families needs via feedback from
previous trainings and new information or trends in the field of disabilities.
Classes are spread geographically througout King County and can be translated, upon
request, into 5 languages as well as American Sign Language.
Parents
or parent groups can call to schedule a training for their group or to or
request a general training on a specific topic.

intent of Parent Training is to assist in keeping families informed on a variety of topics to
thereby decrease their isolation in the community.
