To provide culturally relevant support and assistance to families as they navigate the developmental disabilities service system  on behalf of their family member (children or adults) living with developmental disabilities. 

• Flexible meeting times and places (homes, schools, coffee shop, libraries, recreation and child-care centers to name a few)

• Family resource service coordination

• Advocacy training on issues like Special Education, DDD, SSI, Legislature, etc.

• Information and Referral

• Outreach and education

• Mentoring and coaching

• Interpreting and translating

• Support at meetings (i.e. IEP meetings at school)

• Support groups and parent networks

• Advisory Board (Ethnic Communities and Developmental Disabilities)

• Serve as cultural liaisons between families and professionals to resolve conflict as needed
