Information and Referral

The Information and Referral Program (I&R) works to empower people with developmental disabilities and their families and others acting on their behalf to resolve concerns and to access services.  The program helps people locate available resources and refers them to appropriate services.  This program provides:

• Information about navigating the developmental disabilities system

• Referrals to community resources

• Creative problem solving

• An understanding of government agencies and benefits

• Options to meet educational and recreational needs

• Resource information on transition from school to work

• Opportunities to explore options for living in the community

• Information on long-term planning
