TeensTOGETHER Parents Only Bellevue Art Museum

November 21^st 2:00 p.m.  Bellevue Art Museum ($10 admission) and Happy Hour  We will visit the museum ( a docent will be available if we choose to have one) and then gather for happy hour drinks and food at a local eatery.

Teens TOGETHER is a parent organized/run group that started this summer.  We have a two part focus.  1.  A Monthly Teen/Family Gathering in the Community (that focuses on social, leadership, volunteer and recreational opportunities)  2.  A Monthly Parents Day or Night Out (to offer fun, respite, networking opportunities).   Parents or caregivers attend events, assume supervision and responsibility for their own teens/children/family.  At this time, the Parents Day or Night Out events do not offer child care.  Parents make their own child care arrangements.

One of our goals/missions is to reach out to middle and high school teens with disabilities as we see that often they may feel isolated socially.  At the same time, an equally important goal is to build an inclusive and diverse group of youth.  “Nothing happens unless first a dream” (Carl Sandburg).  Let us dream TOGETHER and create inclusive social, recreational, leadership opportunities that honor, respect, and celebrate the gifts that our teens  offer to one another.

We are excited to announce upcoming TeensTOGETHER events for the Fall!  Some dates and times are to be determined, but most event dates and times are all set.  We are currently working on setting up a website that people can reference at their leisure.  We will be sure to inform you once that is up and running.  We hope to see you at one of our Fall events.
