Panelists will include individuals working in partnership with the Burmese, Bhutanese, Iraqi, and other communities.

* How does war, unrest, and ethnic persecution affect the refugee experience and mental health?

* What cultural bumps have occurred while trying to provide mental health services?

* What are some culturally appropriate strategies and success stories for outreach to the Burmese, Bhutanese, and Iraqi communities?

 

Join us as we learn about working with and reaching out to members of communities relatively new to the area and new to accessing mental health services.
