Medicaid Personal Care (MPC)
Overview
The Medicaid Personal Care (MPC) program is funded by the Federal government, and administered by the State of Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and it's Divisions. The Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS) Medicaid Personal Care (MPC) program provides personal care support for people with developmental disabilities in their own homes, adult family homes, or adult residential care. Medicaid Personal Care for
Adults
The DDS Medicaid Personal Care for Adults program provides personal care support for
adults with developmental disabilities who need assistance to remain in their own homes, Adult Family Homes
(AFH) or Adult Residential Care (ARC)
Medicaid Personal Care for Children
The DDS Medicaid Personal Care for Children program provides personal care support for children with developmental disabilities in the home of a parent, relative or guardian.
Respite
When care or assistance is provided on an occasional basis only in support of temporary caregiver relief, this personal care is sometimes referred to as "respite", "respite care" or "family support". Fore more information about respite, see the RCCCWA Respite Resource Guide .
