Info:  ACAP provides quality, affordable child care and, at the main site (serves infants and toddlers as well as older children).  Services include a therapeutic program for abused and neglected children and a full-day Head Start program for children who qualify under the federal income guidelines.  APPLE parenting classes offer classes in five different areas:  general parenting, infant/toddler, parent participation preschool program, parents of teenagers, and parenting the challenging child.

Info: Program is designed to foster youths academic development as well as improve social skills. The Mentor meets with the student on the school campus, once a week, during school hours, for a minimum of one school year. Goal is that through academic support, positive role modeling, and a one-to-one friendship, students will succeed.

Info:  The Training Partnership Project provides training and follow-up assistance to teachers, teacher assistants, parents, family service workers, cooks and administrators who work in City of Seattle Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP) agencies. The project is designed to increase the knowledge, skills and application of best practices to include young children with disabilities in ECEAP classrooms. ECEAP team members work with project trainers to determine their training needs and design a plan specific to those needs. Teams then spend anywhere from three to five days at the EEU. This time includes hands-on experiences, opportunities to reflect on those experiences, and specific training in best practices to include children with disabilities. Certificates that apply toward a Child Development Associate are given at the conclusion of the training.

Info:  Childhaven's Therapeutic Child Development and Treatment Program serves 268 abused, neglected, and drug-impacted children ages one month to five years who are referred by Child Protective Services.   The children receive developmentally focused care and treatment for seven hours a day every weekday including transportation to and from the centers, medical supervision by staff nurses, daily monitoring of the home and nutritional meals.  Children who qualify as developmentally delayed receive individualized therapy including speech, physical and/or occupational therapy, and special education services. Individual play therapy is also provided. Parents are offered parent education classes, support groups, and applied parenting in the classroom.
