RADAR
http://www.radaraamr.com/
Info:  The RADAR database is managed bythe American Association on Mental Retardation (AAMR) and The Lewin Group under contract to the Administration on Developmental Disabilities/ACF/HHS. The purpose of the RADAR system is to identify and track key issues and emerging trends in developmental disabilities at the national, state and local levels. RADAR data is compiled by searching articles that appear in more than 150 National, State and local newspapers, trade newsletters, professional journals including the American Journal on Mental Retardation and Mental Retardation and AAMR News & Notes , and national and state reports. Every two weeks, abstracts summarizing important issues are delivered to the disability network through RADAR Reports. This database includes information from October 2000 to the present. We hope RADAR will strengthen the developmental disabilities network by alerting policymakers, providers, self-advocates, families and other stakeholders about important issues and emerging trends in a way that is timely and easily understood.
